有些资料介绍过陀思妥耶夫斯基的作品，过去我购买过他的著作，只是我生性疏懒，将它们安置在家中的书架上与灰尘为伍。眼前这散文集里收有他的《死屋手记》中“地下室”一节。
在读“地下室”时，我的思绪随着文字联想到加缪的《局外人》，基督被钉在十字架上所说的话，以及奥古斯丁的《忏悔录》，继而又扯到自己及自己所接触过的人之中去，心中有些激动，但很快又平和了。
陀思妥耶夫斯基，一个天赋敏感的艺术家，本来以为生机已绝，却被改为流放西伯利亚，在恶寒之地受辱十年。是什么力量令他渡过这十年呢？基督的向死而生？创造力的蹂躏……

《死屋手记》是文学作品，尼采及一些心理学家都非常推崇它。从这种现象来说，艺术、哲学、心理学、文学、道德及宗教（陀思妥耶夫斯基与托尔斯泰曾听过索洛维约夫开设的宗教讲座，尼采小时就有“小牧师”之称）之间有着千丝万缕之间的关系，我们不能简单地将某作品局限在某个单一的领域来看。懂得这点，大概也明白什么叫思考了。
